Famous actor Vural Çelik, who was etched in memories with the character Kubilay he brought to life in the TV series Avrupa Yakası, has passed away.

The cause of death for Çelik, who passed away at the age of 51, was announced as a heart attack.

The news of Çelik's death left his loved ones in mourning. His friends from the art community shared messages of condolence for Çelik.

Çelik, whose funeral prayer was held at the Levent Barbaros Hayrettin Paşa Mosque, was laid to rest yesterday (October 19) at the Kilyos Cemetery.

A scene from the 100th episode of the TV series Avrupa Yakası, in which Vural Çelik played the character Kubilay, has become a trending topic on social media again.

In the episode where Suna Pekuysal played the role of a fortune teller, Vural Çelik's words drew attention.

Çelik, who brought the character Kubilay to life, had said as part of his role, "Why am I dying at such a young age?"
