Forest fire in Dalaman brought under control

The forest fire that started in Dalaman on the night of Thursday, October 17, was difficult to bring under control due to strong winds in the region. As a result of the intensive efforts of the teams, the fire has been brought under control.

In a statement shared by the General Directorate of Forestry, it was stated: "The fire that occurred in Dalaman, Muğla, has been brought under control as a result of intensive efforts. Cooling operations are continuing in the region. We would like to thank our heroes who have been fighting to bring the fire under control since the very first moment, all the institutions, NGOs, volunteers, and all our citizens whose hearts beat with love for our green homeland who have supported us."

The Ministry of National Defense announced that 5 helicopters belonging to the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) also participated in the efforts to extinguish the forest fire in Dalaman.

In the statement made by the Ministry, it was stated: "We are continuing our efforts to extinguish the forest fire that broke out in the Dalaman district of Muğla with 5 helicopters belonging to our Turkish Armed Forces."
