Our Regional Directorate of Forestry's land vehicles, fire department, water tenders, construction equipment, our Metropolitan Municipality, all our surrounding municipalities, and our AFAD crisis center have gathered; a deputy governor is in charge."
Expressing that police and gendarmerie water tenders and fire trucks are also in the region, Akbıyık spoke as follows:
"We are trying to bring the fire under control. The fire is in a very large area. There is a high wind. Unfortunately, this makes the struggle difficult. So far, we have evacuated 11 of our citizens from two households. There are one or two old structures that have burned. Thank God, there is no problem regarding life safety for now. We are trying to take all kinds of precautions. We may evacuate other households in Taşbaşı Neighborhood as well. We will act according to the status of the fire."
