Galatasaray finds its new Sacha Boey in France: Guéla Doué
The alternative to Sacha Boey, who was sold to Bayern Munich for 30 million euros, has been found at the French club Rennes.
It has been claimed that Galatasaray has pressed the button for another Frenchman following the departure of Sacha Boey, whom they sent to Bayern Munich during last season's winter transfer window for the highest transfer fee in Süper Lig history.
While claims that Galatasaray is interested in Manchester United's Bissaka continue, it has been alleged that they have made an offer for Doue.
Guéla Doué is expected to attract European giants just like Sacha Boey did.
The Yellow-Reds will not waste much time and will intensify contacts starting next week to secure the signing of Guela Doue.
If this transfer goes through, Galatasaray will not be satisfied with just Doue.
The Yellow-Reds have also made contact with other domestic and foreign names.
The goal is to strengthen the squad with two right-backs, utilize the duo of Dubois and Köhn on the left side of the defense, and avoid spending budget on another left-back transfer.
A product of the Rennes youth academy, Doue made his first-team debut in 2022 and has contributed 4 assists in 24 official matches.
As for Boey, who brought millions of euros into Galatasaray's coffers, he, like Doué, came from the Rennes youth academy and was transferred to Galatasaray for a fee of 5.65 million euros.
Before transferring to Galatasaray, Boey had played in 12 matches for Rennes and provided 2 assists.
