General Directorate of Meteorology warns: Heavy downpours are coming

According to the latest forecasts made by the General Directorate of Meteorology: It is estimated that the country will be generally partly to very cloudy, with precipitation expected in the south and east of the Marmara region, the inner parts and southern coasts of the Aegean, the Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, and the inner parts of the Western and Central Black Sea regions. Precipitation is expected to be generally in the form of rain and downpours; thundery downpours in some places on the southern coasts; and a mix of rain and snow in the higher elevations of the Aegean, the north and east of Central Anatolia, and the inner parts of the Mediterranean and Black Sea regions.

Precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the eastern surroundings of Antalya. In the eastern parts of our country, icing and frost are expected, along with mist and local fog.

AIR TEMPERATURE: It is estimated that there will be no significant change and temperatures will hover around seasonal norms.

WIND: The wind is expected to blow from northerly directions in the Marmara region and Aegean coasts, and from southeasterly and easterly directions in other parts, light to occasionally moderate, and locally strong (40-60 km/h) from easterly and northeasterly directions in the Central Mediterranean coasts during the morning hours.

HEAVY PRECIPITATION WARNING: Since precipitation is expected to be locally heavy in the east of Antalya, it is necessary to be careful and take precautions against potential negative consequences.
