According to reports, Yemeksepeti allowed the information of millions of citizens to be stolen. It even went so far as to send 200 thousand Euros via cryptocurrency to the individuals who hacked them.
YEMEKSEPETİ APPLIED TO THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE
According to a report by Sabah, the Yemeksepeti company filed a criminal complaint with the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, claiming that there were data breach and blackmail attempts against it. According to the claim, the citizens' information at Yemeksepeti was not stolen, and unidentified person or persons were trying to make it appear as if there were a data leak.
THE TRUTH HAS EMERGED
In the petition submitted to the prosecutor's office, the company stated that they had performed detailed checks on their systems and had not encountered any data leaks or breaches.
The company argued that they found the suspects' claims to be baseless and that these attempts were intended to damage their reputation.
THEY PAID 200 THOUSAND EUROS FOR THEM TO STAY SILENT
On the other hand, it was stated in the petition that an individual named Turgut U. had previously made misleading posts regarding customer information and credit card details.
The company claimed that there were no security vulnerabilities in their systems. In the criminal complaint, it was requested that the identities of the suspects be determined and that a lawsuit be filed against them for the crimes of "Slander" and "Blackmail."
In the petition the famous company submitted to the prosecutor's office, it was also stated that the hackers who obtained the data demanded money from them, and in this context, the company paid 200 thousand Euros worth of cryptocurrency to the individuals who threatened to leak the data.

Yemeksepeti founder Nevzat Aydın had appeared and made a statement 17 days after the data scandal.
