Goalkeeper search at Galatasaray: Here are the names considered to replace Muslera

As Fernando Muslera's 14-year journey at Galatasaray nears its end, the yellow-reds have begun searching for a new name to replace the experienced goalkeeper.

With 38-year-old Muslera's contract set to expire at the end of the season, the Galatasaray management has already begun researching alternatives in case he decides to retire.

Galatasaray aims to sign a domestic goalkeeper to replace Muslera. It is stated that negotiations with Eyüpspor's young goalkeeper Berke Özer have been positive.

In addition, it is reported that Trabzonspor goalkeeper Uğurcan Çakır is also on the agenda. Considering the current foreign player quota, the yellow-reds plan to prioritize domestic names.

If no results are achieved with domestic goalkeepers, Lyon's Brazilian goalkeeper Lucas Perri has also entered Galatasaray's transfer agenda.

Although the 27-year-old goalkeeper is under contract with Lyon until 2028, Galatasaray received a positive response from the meeting held with Perri's representative in Istanbul. Perri's current market value is listed at 8 million euros.

As Galatasaray continues its transfer efforts rapidly, it aims to determine the name to whom it will entrust the team's goal after Muslera as soon as possible.

If one of the domestic goalkeepers cannot be added to the team, Galatasaray is expected to sit down at the table with Lyon for Perri. The yellow-reds plan to add their new goalkeeper to the squad before the summer transfer window begins.
