Good news on the mid-term break from Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin! When will it start?

Minister Yusuf Tekin stated in a post on his social media account that they listen to teachers during the Teachers' Room Meetings they organize in the first week of every month.

Minister Tekin shared the following information:

"In these meetings with our teachers, upon the intense demand from many of our colleagues, we have decided to hold the mid-term break seminars, which will take place between November 11-15, online. I wish it to be beneficial for our education family."

When does the mid-term break start?

When will the mid-term break, which students, parents, and teachers are waiting for, begin? How many days is the mid-term break? When will schools close? When will schools reopen?

With the 2024-2025 academic calendar published by the Ministry of National Education (MEB), the mid-term break dates have been determined. Accordingly, the first mid-term break in schools will be implemented between November 11-15, 2024.

Schools will actually close on Friday, November 8, and will reopen on Monday, November 18. Including the weekends, students and teachers are entitled to a total of 9 days of vacation.

When is the semester break?

After the mid-term break ends, students and teachers will this time look forward to the semester break. According to the Ministry's calendar, the semester break will take place between January 20-31.
