Following the news of the baby gorilla's smuggling, Thai police conducted raids on animal smugglers in their country.
In an operation at a suspect's farm, Thai police rescued 284 animals belonging to 22 different species.
It was stated that while the farm possesses the necessary licenses for animal trading, an investigation will be launched into whether the trade of the specific animals found on the farm is legal.
