He was subjected to a physical assault... Hasan Arat has taken action!

The Beşiktaş Club 2025 1st Ordinary Divan Board Meeting held yesterday was marked by a physical assault on former president Hasan Arat. Following the widely discussed attack, Arat has taken action. A statement has been released by Arat's lawyer.

Altın Mimir, the lawyer for former Beşiktaş Club president Hasan Arat, announced that legal proceedings have been initiated regarding Divan Board President Tevfik Yamantürk and the events that took place yesterday.

The black-and-white club's 2025 1st ordinary divan board meeting, held yesterday at the ICEC İstanbul Lütfi Kırdar Congress and Exhibition Center, was canceled following the tension that occurred.

The tension that began between Arat and Divan Board President Tevfik Yamantürk while he was speaking at the meeting turned into physical contact, during which two individuals who climbed onto the podium also physically intervened against Arat.

LEGAL PROCESS INITIATED

Reminding that according to the bylaws and traditions, those who have served as president of the black-and-white club are granted the right to speak immediately after the current president without time restrictions, lawyer Altın Mimir continued her statement with the following words:

"Mr. Hasan Arat was granted the right to speak in the 17th position and was subjected to all kinds of ugly attacks during this time. Despite this, Mr. Hasan maintained his composure, as befits a Beşiktaş member, and waited for his turn. However, from the very first moment he stepped onto the podium, he was subjected to an organized and planned verbal and physical attack by a group, including Tevfik Yamantürk, who is unaware of the gravity of his position, and others of unknown origin (as they had no right to even enter the door of the divan meeting, let alone climb onto the podium)."

"Subsequently, it was understood that those individuals of unknown origin were Tevfik Yamantürk's bodyguards, and it is clear that Tevfik Yamantürk wanted to prevent Mr. Hasan Arat from revealing the truth by using himself and his men."

"Using profanity, engaging in physical assault, and inciting all of these are crimes, and all kinds of legal and criminal proceedings have been initiated against Tevfik Yamantürk and his men."
