According to the statement made by the General Directorate of Population and Citizenship Affairs, the deadline set for driver's license renewal procedures is December 31, 2024. Driver's licenses that are not renewed will be considered invalid, and drivers will be subject to administrative fines starting from 2025.

HOW TO APPLY FOR A DRIVER'S LICENSE RENEWAL?

Appointments for the new-type driver's license can be made via ALO 199, the "ALO 199 Mobile Application," or at https://randevu.nvi.gov.tr.

Applications will be accepted with the required documents following an appointment made at population directorates. Applications can be submitted to any population directorate.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR LICENSE RENEWAL

-National ID card or identity card

-Old driver's license

-Driver's health report

-1 biometric photo taken within the last six months

-Blood type card (if not included in the health report)

-Payment of the 13 TL valuable paper fee and 2 TL foundation share

HOW MUCH IS THE LICENSE RENEWAL FEE FOR 2024?

-The fee to be paid by those who will replace their old-type license with a new-type license is 13+2 TL. Individuals who have not obtained a new-type license after 01/01/2016 will pay a renewal fee of 15 TL in cases of renewal, loss, misplacement, or theft.

-The fee to be paid by those who wish to renew their new-type licenses, or who have lost or had them stolen, is 990 + 230 TL. They will pay a total of 1220 TL.

WHICH BANKS ACCEPT LICENSE RENEWAL FEE PAYMENTS?

The license renewal fee can be deposited at banks that have a protocol with the Ministry of Treasury and Finance and the Traffic Foundation. Additionally, the license renewal fee can also be paid online.
