'I would take three friends with me and go to İmralı,' he had said: 'The person to accompany Bahçeli' comes from the AKP

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli's statement during his group meeting, 'I would take 3 friends with me and I would not refrain from going to Imralı with my own means,' has caused a wide stir in politics.

THE FIRST RESPONSE CAME FROM THE AKP

The first notable response to the statement came from AKP İstanbul MP Salim Ensarioğlu. According to the report by Güneydoğu Ekspres, Ensarioğlu stated that he supports Bahçeli's move and used the following expressions:

"For this bloodshed to stop, I would go just as Bahçeli said. I would go alone, with a delegation, or by accompanying Bahçeli. The state must now do what is necessary. The organization must also continue. Bahçeli is acting within the understanding of the state."

Ensarioğlu also pointed to the importance of the images shared with the DEM Party, saying, "The handshakes and President Erdoğan posing for a photo together are very valuable. These are the people at the head of the state, and they do what needs to be done."

"DEMİRTAŞ MUST BE RELEASED AND ÖCALAN MUST BE INTERVIEWED"

Touching upon the Kurdish issue and democratic rights in his statement, Ensarioğlu said, "The regulation of democratic rights is as important for Turks as it is for Kurds. It is valid for everyone. I am a Kurd, there is no division. The organization also accepts this."

Ensarioğlu continued his assessment regarding the resolution process discussions as follows:

"I think like Bahçeli. For the bloodshed to stop, Selahattin Demirtaş must be released, and Abdullah Öcalan must be interviewed. After so much has been said, going to Öcalan is just a detail."

Ensarioğlu used the following expressions regarding the steps that could be taken for a solution:
