IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu meets with Özgür Özel

The CHP has taken action following the detention of Mayor Rıza Akpolat as part of the investigation launched into the Beşiktaş Municipality. CHP members gathered at the Beşiktaş Municipal building and held a press conference. In addition to CHP Istanbul Provincial Chairman Özgür Çelik and CHP Deputy Chairman in charge of Local Governments Gökhan Zeybek, numerous CHP mayors were also present at the statement.

A summit regarding the Beşiktaş Municipality also took place in Ankara. CHP Chairman Özgür Özel and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu met at the CHP Headquarters.

IMM and Union of Municipalities of Türkiye President Ekrem İmamoğlu is following the developments regarding CHP's Beşiktaş Mayor Rıza Akpolat, who was detained this morning at his summer house in Balıkesir, and is conducting various contacts. In this context, İmamoğlu arrived at the CHP Headquarters. Ekrem İmamoğlu and CHP Chairman Özgür Özel met in Özel's office.

It was learned that Özel and İmamoğlu later held an online meeting with their staff, who had organized a press conference at the Beşiktaş Municipality building.
