Is the Can Holding investigation spreading to the government? Arrest warrant issued for AKP founder

It has been learned that an arrest warrant was issued for businessman Cüneyd Zapsu as part of the "Can Holding" investigation initiated by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. However, the warrant issued due to Zapsu being abroad was lifted following contact.

ZAPSU TESTIFIED AS A WITNESS

According to journalist Barış Terkoğlu, Zapsu was summoned to testify as a witness. Terkoğlu also reported that Zapsu did not respond to questions regarding the allegations. This development occurred at a time when the investigation is expanding.

In the Can Holding investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, charges including "establishing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes," "managing an organization," "being a member of an established organization," "laundering assets derived from crime," and "qualified fraud" are being addressed. Within the scope of the investigation, 6 suspects, including Can Holding owner Kemal Can, were arrested. Mehmet Kenan Tekdağ, Chairman of the Board of Can Yayın Holding, was released under house arrest.

The Can Holding investigation has expanded to reach the Ciner Group. An arrest warrant was issued for Turgay Ciner, the boss of the Ciner Group, due to his presence abroad. Additionally, trustees were appointed to companies belonging to the Ciner Group, and 12 suspects were detained.

Turgay Ciner's son, Atilla Ciner, and Ciner Glass A.Ş. CEO Gökhan Şen were referred to the duty Criminal Judgeship of Peace with a request for arrest. Both individuals were arrested.
