İSKİ announces: What is the latest status of the dams?
The Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ) has announced the latest status of the dams.
With the effect of the rainy weather that has been influential in Istanbul in recent days, a slight increase has been recorded in the water levels of the dams.
In the statement made by the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ), it was noted that while the average occupancy rate of the dams in the megacity was 31.48 percent yesterday, this rate was recorded as 31.71 percent today.
Across the country, drought and precipitation below seasonal norms last year had affected the occupancy rates in the dams supporting Istanbul.
The highest water amount in the dams was at the Elmalı Dam with 76.79 percent, while the lowest water amount was at the Pabuçdere Dam with 7.73 percent.
According to İSKİ data, as of December 25, the dam occupancy rates in Istanbul are as follows:
• Alibey Dam 17.45 percent
• Büyükçekmece Dam 31.11 percent
• Darlık Dam 31.91 percent
• Elmalı Dam 76.79 percent
• Istrancalar Dam 29.85 percent
• Kazandere Dam 11.31 percent
• Pabuçdere Dam 7.73 percent
• Sazlıdere Dam 34 percent
• Terkos Dam 32.87 percent
• Ömerli Dam 38.06 percent
