İŞKUR shares new data: The profession with the highest job vacancy rate

According to İŞKUR's monthly "Statistical Report," 1 million 793 thousand 632 job openings were received in the January-August period, an increase of 0.1%.

In the first 8 months, 99 percent of job openings consisted of vacancies received from the private sector. By sector, the highest number of job openings (708,551 vacancies) was in the manufacturing industry.

The highest number of job openings were recorded in the professions of "Tourism and Hospitality Staff, Private Security Guard (Unarmed), and Service Staff (Waiter)."

The number of unemployed people registered with İŞKUR in August fell by 14.68% compared to the same month last year, reaching 2 million 371 thousand 977 people. In the same month last year, the number of registered unemployed was at the level of 2 million 779 thousand 984.

Of the registered unemployed, 47.4% were men, 52.6% were women, and 21.1% were in the 15-24 age group.

In August, 119,336 job placements were made through İŞKUR, an annual increase of 19.71%, with 73,131 (61.3%) being men and 46,205 (38.7%) being women.

In the January-August period of 2024, 947 thousand 388 job placements were mediated.

In the January-August 2024 period, by sector, the highest number of job placements occurred in the "Manufacturing" field within the industrial sector; by profession, the highest number of job placements were in the "Tourism and Hotel Staff, Private Security Guard (Unarmed), and Sales Associate" professions, respectively.

In the January-August 2024 period, İŞKUR mediated the employment of 356,431 women, 346,227 young people, 26,675 individuals with disabilities, and 169,355 higher education graduates.
