Another claim on the subject came from journalist Serdar Akinan. In a video shared on his YouTube account, Akinan explained why the Competition Authority launched an investigation into Ayşe Barım.

"As you know, TRT has a streaming platform called 'tabii'. It made a name for itself with the series 'Gassal'. This platform does not have a license from RTÜK. It is actually illegal. A project comes along, and they want to cast an actor in that project. One or two. They don't just cast one actor anyway. They say, 'Take this one too, take that one too.' They also distribute the roles. I know she has that much power. They don't provide the actors. That is how the Ayşe Barım operation begins. The reason the Competition Authority stepped in is directly because she stepped on the state's toes."
