Landslide in Kartal! Residents evacuated from building
A landslide has occurred in Kartal, Istanbul. Residents living in an 8-apartment building have been evacuated due to the risk of collapse.
A landslide occurred in Kartal, Istanbul.
The incident took place during the night at a construction site on Lider Street in the Hürriyet neighborhood of Kartal.
Due to the landslide, a car fell into the construction site along with the soil.
Upon notification, numerous police, fire, and municipal police teams were dispatched to the scene.
Within the framework of extensive security measures taken, the area around the construction site was cordoned off with police tape.
Operations continued until the morning hours.
Citizens in the 8-apartment building were evacuated as a precaution. Teams closed off the entrance of the building with tape.
