Look what Abdulhamid's grandson with the fake diploma has done... Here is the 'revive the Ottoman' plan: 50 thousand TL per square meter!

One of the names mentioned in the fake diploma scandal that shook Turkey was Abdülhamid Kayıhan Osmanoğlu, the 4th-generation grandson of the Ottoman Sultan Abdülhamid II. The history diploma, which was determined to have been obtained from Inönü University in exchange for money and was also registered in the e-Devlet system, was canceled as a result of the investigation.

However, it has emerged that Osmanoğlu, who has begun to be referred to in the public eye as the "prince with the fake diploma," has stepped onto the stage for a new project.

COLLECTING MONEY FOR THE HAMIDIYE COMPLEX

Preparations are underway for the Hamidiye Complex, which was announced to be built in the Ulus neighborhood of Ankara's Çubuk district in January 2025. A construction sign has even been erected on the land. The sign includes not only the name of the project but also the bank account numbers for donations.

A donation campaign has been launched by the Devleti Aliyye Ocakları (State of the Sublime Hearths) for the complex, which is being promoted to the public as a project that will "resurrect the Ottoman civilization."

ONE STONE 2,000 TL, ONE SQUARE METER 50,000 TL

According to journalist Tarık Işık's report in Nefes, the donation amounts requested for the complex have also become clear. From those who want to support the project:

2,000 TL is requested for the cost of one stone,

10,000 TL for the cost of 1 square meter of stone,

And 50,000 TL for the cost of 1 square meter of construction.

While these figures have drawn significant backlash on social media, they have led to comments such as "they are asking for a fortune while putting one stone on top of another."

In the promotional text published on the Devleti Aliyye Ocakları website, the goals of the Hamidiye Complex are described as follows:

"We are bringing to life a project that will revive the Ottoman civilization. The foundation of the Hamidiye Madrasas Complex, which will be built on education, knowledge, and etiquette, is being laid.

The complex will consist of the Sultan Vahidüddin Han Mosque, 4 madrasas, an Ottoman bath, a soup kitchen, and guesthouses.

The project aims to be a center of revival where Rabbani scholars will be raised and the honor of the Ummah will be elevated.

Under the leadership of our Chairman, Prince Abdülhamid Kayıhan Osmanoğlu, the Devleti Aliyye Ocakları, acting with the goal of carrying the Ottoman heritage into the future, aims to be a means for the rise of Islamic civilization with this project. We await your prayers and support."

The "commercial" ventures of the descendants of the Ottoman dynasty are not limited to the complex project. Orhan Osmanoğlu, a cousin of Abdülhamid Kayıhan Osmanoğlu, had also frequently made headlines for selling tomato paste via social media.

Orhan Osmanoğlu, who advertised tomato paste in posts made from his own accounts, became a subject of ridicule on social media for this reason and was nicknamed the "Tomato Paste Prince."
