Major support for Trump from Elon Musk: Established a committee, spent 87 million dollars
Elon Musk's support continues for Donald Trump, one of the candidates in the United States presidential race. Musk has spent 87 million dollars for Trump so far.
It has been documented that the Political Action Committee (PAC) formed by Elon Musk, one of the world's wealthiest individuals and the owner of Tesla, SpaceX, and X, to ensure Donald Trump wins the election, had spent 87 million dollars as of last week.
Continuing his intense support for former Republican President Donald Trump, Elon Musk is joining Trump's MAGA (Make America Great Again) movement and plans to hire an army of voters with money in "swing" states such as Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
The Washington Post, one of the leading newspapers in the US, reported, citing Federal Election Commission documents, that the committee had spent 87 million dollars for the presidential race as of last week, and that two-thirds of this went to field operations.
The Post wrote that Musk, who has laid off thousands of people at his various companies on a whim in recent years, has been closely involved in America PAC operations with an aggressive approach that has seen him fire a number of vendors since July.
For this reason, the PAC had to start over from scratch in Arizona and Nevada in July. A source told the Post that Musk has had difficulty hiring and retaining campaign workers due to disruptions caused by increasing regional heat waves and staff departures.
Musk had not listened to PAC consultants who warned him not to act in such a rush, and it is said that he believed "people would be convinced if they took signs in their hands, went out into the streets, and explained the dangers awaiting them."
In the final weeks of the campaign, Musk has focused on using the PAC's large amounts of capital to finance the MAGA world's most aggressive voter mobilization operations.
The Washington Post reported that a wave of hiring for canvassers to be paid 20 to 40 dollars per hour is planned, with a focus specifically on the "swing" states of Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, which will determine the election result.
