'Mansur Yavaş' and 'Sinem Dedetaş' claims regarding Ekrem İmamoğlu: 'CHP will experience an extraordinary convention process'

Hürriyet columnist Abdulkadir Selvi, while criticizing ABB Mayor Mansur Yavaş regarding the concert Ebru Gündeş gave in Ankara on October 29, stated: "Mansur Yavaş is in the position of a 'lone cowboy' within the CHP. 

But Ekrem İmamoğlu is both influential in the CHP and there is the reality of the 'Saraçhane media.' They are in a 'say the word and we will strike, say the word and we will die' mode for Ekrem İmamoğlu. Even if Trump were to close the Mexican border, they are looking to extract something from it for Ekrem İmamoğlu," he said.

TV CHANNEL CLOSE TO KILIÇDAROĞLU

Selvi also made the claim regarding Ekrem İmamoğlu: "Now they are negotiating to launch a new newspaper and purchase a TV channel close to Kılıçdaroğlu. In his current state, Mansur Yavaş cannot cope with Ekrem İmamoğlu's media. I fear they will set up other traps for Mansur Yavaş in the future. Mr. Mansur, please be careful."

'SOONER OR LATER...'

Stating that İBB Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu is against a convention, Selvi said the following:

"Will the alliance between Ekrem İmamoğlu and Özgür Özel continue, or will an alliance between Ekrem İmamoğlu and Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu be formed? İmamoğlu has not made his choice on this matter. That is why he did not give the green light to extraordinary convention efforts. 

On the contrary, he opposed an extraordinary convention. Because his priority is to guarantee his presidential candidacy. Thus, extraordinary convention efforts in the CHP have been halted for now. 

But the debate is not over. Sooner or later, the CHP will experience an extraordinary convention process."

AKPOLAT AND DEDETAŞ

Selvi made the following claim regarding who would take the İBB seat if İmamoğlu becomes a presidential candidate:

"The third race is for İmamoğlu's seat. If Ekrem İmamoğlu becomes a presidential candidate, who will take over the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality? For now, the names of Beşiktaş Mayor Rıza Akpolat and Üsküdar Mayor Sinem Dedetaş are coming to the fore. But two other names are also being mentioned."
