Mehmet Şimşek signs off on civil servant salary increase: No flat-rate raise or welfare share

The 6-month inflation adjustment for civil servants was calculated at 19.31 following the June CPI figures.

Following the announcement of the pension and civil servant salary increases, the signature awaited by millions has been signed.

It has been reported that Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek has signed the decision regarding the salary increases for contract personnel, civil servants, and civil servant retirees, as well as the severance pay ceiling and the calculation of salary differences.

CIVIL SERVANT PAY RAISE RATE FINALIZED

According to the published circular, a 19.31 percent pay raise for contract personnel, civil servants, and civil servant retirees has been finalized.

According to the news report on Mynet, based on the rate signed by Şimşek, civil servant salaries have changed as follows for the period between July 2024 and January 2025.

• Lowest civil servant pension: 14,740 TL - 17,586 TL

• Lowest civil servant salary: From 32,860 TL to 39,205 TL

• Single civil servant: From 30,372 TL to 36,236 TL

DATE FOR CIVIL SERVANT SALARY RAISE DIFFERENCE PAYMENTS

Since the salaries of civil servants and civil servant retirees are deposited after the 15th of the month, a decision has also been made regarding the calculation and payment of the difference amounts for the period between July 1 and July 14, 2024.

SEVERANCE PAY AND PAID MILITARY SERVICE FEES HAVE BEEN CLARIFIED

The July 2024 figures for severance pay and paid military service fees have been announced.

The severance pay ceiling has been set at 41 thousand 828 Turkish Lira and 42 kuruş.

The monthly coefficient has been set at 0.907796. Accordingly, the calculated fee for paid military service has become 217 thousand 871 Turkish Lira and 4 kuruş.
