Meral Akşener's new focus revealed after stepping away from politics: 'She is obsessed with it'

Meral Akşener, the founding chair of the İYİ Party, met with some members of her party at her private office on October 29, Republic Day.

It has been learned what topics were on the agenda during this meeting with Akşener, who has not been seen in public for a long time since stepping away from politics.

According to information obtained, it was stated that Akşener did not make any assessments regarding domestic politics during the meeting and stayed away from current political debates.

According to information reported by Odatv, it was stated that Akşener's most important agenda in the recent period has been young people.

Her former advisor Şevket Talha Apuhan, who met with Akşener, stated that the former chair is focusing particularly on the difficulties experienced in the field of education, saying, "She is fixated on those who are studying or trying to study under difficult conditions, especially girls. In fact, she is thinking more about the Turkey that her grandchildren will live in than the Turkey of today."

Akşener's aide Esma Bekar also made a statement regarding the meeting. Emphasizing that Akşener has not made any special plans, Bekar said, "She meets with those who request an appointment. She meets with everyone, whether they are party members or not. No special meaning should be attributed to this meeting."

Bekar added that Akşener generally conducts her meetings based on personal interests and social issues, and prefers to stay away from the political agenda.
