Missing Rojin searched for with thermal cameras
21-year-old Rojin Kabaiş, who went missing 8 days ago at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, is being searched for using drones equipped with thermal cameras as part of search and rescue efforts. After eating at the dormitory, Rojin left saying, "I'm going to the beach," and has not been heard from since. Following the discovery of the young woman's mobile phone on the beach, search efforts have been expanded.
Rojin Kabaiş, a 21-year-old first-year preschool teaching student at Van YYÜ Faculty of Education, left her dormitory after eating dinner, saying, "I am going to the beach."
After that, the young woman was not heard from again. Rojin's mobile phone was last found on the beach.
Meanwhile, the search efforts for the young girl continue for the 8th day. The family, waiting for hopeful news about their daughter, remains in an anxious state of anticipation.
Teams formed for search and rescue efforts have launched a large-scale operation to track down Rojin.
OVER 100 TEAMS ARE SEARCHING
More than 100 teams, consisting of helicopters, coast guard, police boats, AFAD, and volunteer search and rescue units, are taking part in the search efforts.
A special team conducted search and rescue operations both in Lake Van and along the campus shoreline.
Efforts to find a trace of Rojin are underway, involving the use of mounted police units and specialized search and rescue dogs.
Volunteer teams participating in the efforts are supporting the operations with thermal camera-equipped drones, which provide a significant advantage in aerial search and rescue missions.
