Mother of Fatih murderer Semih Çelik reveals on live broadcast: Striking claim about İkbal!

Hafize Çelik, the mother of Semih Çelik—who brutally murdered 19-year-olds İkbal Uzuner and Ayşenur Halil in Istanbul's Fatih district on Friday, October 4, before jumping from the city walls to take his own life—has made a statement.

Speaking to ATV, Hafize Çelik said that Semih Çelik had suicidal tendencies but that she did not expect him to do such a thing.

Hafize Çelik, the mother of Semih Çelik—who brutally murdered 19-year-olds İkbal Uzuner and Ayşenur Halil in Istanbul's Fatih district on Friday, October 4, before jumping from the city walls to commit suicide—has made statements regarding her son.

"I WARNED HIS PARENTS MANY TIMES"

Hafize Çelik, who criticized the family of İkbal Uzuner, one of the women murdered by Semih Çelik, stated, "As a mother, I warned both İkbal's mother and father many times."

Hafize Çelik stated that they had a video call with Semih Çelik before the incident and that she did not sense that such a thing would happen.

“I TOOK HIM FROM DOCTOR TO DOCTOR”

Hafize Çelik’s statements are as follows:

“My child had suicidal tendencies. Everyone is angry at us, I wish my child hadn't done such a thing… If only they had done it to themselves, not to them. They committed suicide, but I never imagined something like this would happen. They were sick, I took them from doctor to doctor.”

I did everything I could, but İkbal never left her alone; she kept calling. In 2021, she sent the girl a video where she said, 'I will gouge your eyes out.' How is the family still keeping the girl in Istanbul?

What would you do if such a video were sent to your child? They only changed her school. As a mother, I warned both İkbal’s mother and father many times. I told them to disappear from the scene so that they would take precautions.

They say they won't do what I say, they won't meet, I don't trust my child. They had also said something like that, they had moved into a new house, how were they going to manage that.

I asked, 'Is your child more important or is your home more important?' The first one had attempted suicide 3 years ago; they were going to commit suicide together, then İkbal changed her mind. Semih stabbed her in the heart.

My son was hospitalized at Çapa for 15 days. İkbal herself also committed suicide last year; there are reports on her at Eyüp SSK.

“I DID NOT SENSE ANY SUCH THING”

Hafize Çelik also shared the following regarding the last video call she had with Semih Çelik:

“He was sitting as if lying on the bed. I said, ‘What are you doing, my son?’ He said, ‘What should I do, Hafize?’ He said, ‘Ayşenur is here, in the bathroom.’ I said, ‘Call her, let her come.’ He said, ‘She came out, but she is shy of you.’ I said, ‘Why is she shy of me?’ She came, we greeted each other, saying ‘How are you, are you well?’… She said, ‘See you later, Hafize,’ and that was it. I did not sense any such thing from him.”
