According to a report by Il Gazzettino, Lazio, one of the teams interested in Samardzic, has fallen behind in the transfer race, while the yellow-navies have emerged as the leading club.

The report states that Lazio President Claudio Lotito found the transfer fee requested by Udinese President Giampaolo Pozzo for the Serbian player to be too high.

It has been reported that Fenerbahçe has made a 20 million Euro offer, including bonuses, to the Serie A team to add Samardzic to their squad.

In the details of the report, it was commented that the Udinese side viewed this offer positively as the initial stage of negotiations, and it was stated that a net offer of 20 million Euros, excluding bonuses, could finalize the transfer.

It was also stated that concrete developments regarding the Lazar Samardzic transfer are expected at the beginning of next week.

The 22-year-old player, who was transferred from Leipzig in 2021 for a fee of 3 million Euros, has 2 years remaining on his contract with Udinese. Appearing in 34 matches in Serie A last season, Samardzic contributed 6 goals and 2 assists to his team.
