New development in the case that has gripped Turkey... Ece Gürel's father speaks out: 'They sacrificed my daughter!'

As investigations continue into the death of Ece Gürel, who was found four days after going missing in Istanbul's Belgrade Forest and later passed away in the hospital where she was taken, new allegations continue to emerge.

Claims that Ece Gürel was receiving training at a witchcraft school have deeply affected her father, Muharrem Koçoğlu. Appearing on the program Tatlı Sert, hosted by Müge Anlı, Koçoğlu tearfully stated that his daughter did not receive any such training at such a school.

''MY DAUGHTER TOOK ASTRONOMY LESSONS''

Father Muharrem Koçoğlu reacted to the claims, saying, "My daughter did not go to a witchcraft school; she took astronomy lessons, nothing else. If there were such a thing, she would have told me." Emphasizing his daughter's religious beliefs, Koçoğlu added, "My daughter was a Muslim; she lived her life while fasting. There is no possibility of such things."

''THEY SACRIFICED MY DAUGHTER''

Deeply saddened by what his daughter went through, Koçoğlu stated that he believes there is another motive behind the incident. "My daughter was someone I could trust until the end. There is something about this incident; I don't know how they did it, but I will pursue this to the end." Believing that his daughter was somehow chosen as a sacrifice, the father made harsh statements, saying, "There are those responsible for my daughter's death, and I will hold them accountable."

WHAT HAPPENED?

Gürel went missing after leaving her home in the Gültepe neighborhood of Kağıthane on Sunday, March 2, saying she was going to visit the Belgrade Forest. Following a report by her relatives, a large-scale search operation was launched in the forest with the participation of numerous search and rescue teams.

Gürel, who was found at night after a 4-day search by the teams, lost her life due to hypothermia and subsequent complications.

WITCHCRAFT TRAINING ALLEGATION

Hale Nur Özen, who was alleged to have provided "Witchcraft" training to Gürel, was taken into custody and subsequently released under judicial control with a travel ban.
