New scandal in the 'Newborn Gang' case! 112 records added to the indictment

A new detail has emerged in the 'Newborn Gang' scandal that has chilled the blood of Turkey.

According to the report by Deniz Güngör from BirGün, it has been learned that the 112 emergency records regarding 6-month-old Nigerian baby Michelle Nwando Opara, who lost her life, were not included in the indictment.

ANOTHER NEW SCANDAL

A new development has occurred in the trial of the gang that operated in many provinces, especially in Istanbul, by showing newborn babies as sick to profit from their hospitalization periods, leading to the deaths of babies.

70 HOSPITALS REFUSED TRANSFER

6-month-old Nigerian baby Michelle Nwando Opara, who was brought by ambulance to the Private Medilife Hospital in Beylikdüzü, Istanbul, on January 14, 2024, with respiratory complaints, could not be transferred because there were no available beds in surrounding hospitals.

According to the records, 70 hospitals refused the baby's transfer.

'MUST BE TAKEN TO EMERGENCY INTENSIVE CARE'

Another deficiency in the indictment of the Newborn Gang case has come to light.

It was stated that the ASKOM (Emergency Health Services Coordination Center) procedure could not be performed for the baby, for whom the nurse on duty said, "must be taken to emergency intensive care," because there was a pediatrician at the hospital. Baby Opara was transferred to the Private Birinci Hospital on January 17, 2024.
