The Iceland-Turkey match in the UEFA Nations League B is facing the risk of postponement due to adverse weather conditions.

UEFA officials will decide whether the Iceland-Turkey match will be played following an inspection today. The inspection by UEFA representatives will take place at 14:00 TRT today. Meanwhile, TFF Vice President Ceyhun Kazancı stated that there is a 51 percent chance the match will be postponed.

The A National Football Team will face Iceland away this evening in their 4th match of the UEFA Nations League B. There is a possibility that the Iceland-Turkey match, which is scheduled to start at 21:45 TRT, will be postponed.

Laugardalsvöllur Stadium, where the Iceland-Turkey match is set to be played, faces a risk of freezing at match time. Temperatures are expected to be between 1 and -3 degrees at the time of the match.

Reports in the Icelandic press stated that UEFA officials held a meeting with the Football Association of Iceland and stadium staff yesterday afternoon.

It was emphasized that no decision regarding a postponement was made at the meeting, but that another inspection would be conducted on match day (this evening) and that UEFA would make the final decision regarding a postponement.

It was reported that Laugardalsvöllur Stadium does not have pitch heating and that the field is extremely vulnerable to freezing conditions.

It was noted that even if a postponement decision is made, the Iceland-Turkey match would be played no later than Tuesday.

It was highlighted that fabric has been laid on the pitch at Laugardalsvöllur Stadium to keep it warm.
