Price hikes coming for gasoline, diesel, and LPG!
With a Presidential Decree published in the Official Gazette and entered into force, the Special Consumption Tax (ÖTV) increase rate to be applied to fuel products in the new year has been determined. As a result of the decision, the ÖTV, which was expected to be increased by around 8 percent on January 3, has been raised by 6 percent, effective from January 1.
With the arrival of the new year, price hikes on everything from A to Z have taken their place on the agenda.
With a Presidential Decree published in the Official Gazette and now in effect, the rate of increase for the Special Consumption Tax (ÖTV) to be applied to fuel products in the new year has been determined.
As a result of the decision, the ÖTV, which was expected to be increased by around 8 percent on January 3, has been raised by 6 percent, effective from January 1.
The ÖTV increase is expected to have an impact of around 1 percent on prices.
The ÖTV amount on 1 liter of gasoline will rise from 11.29 liras to 11.98 liras. Including VAT, this increase will mean a price hike of 83 kuruş on gasoline.
With the change, the ÖTV amount on diesel will rise from 10.59 liras to 11.23 liras. Including VAT, the increase reflected at the pump will be 77 kuruş.
