Renault's "divorce" campaign: Money-back guarantee for those who divorce their spouses
Emre Özpeynirci announced Renault's campaign in the UK: "They are so confident that it is a very good family car that they are offering a money-back guarantee to anyone who divorces their spouse."
Automotive writer Emre Özpeynirci has announced a notable campaign for Renault's electric model, the Scenic.
In a statement on his social media account, Özpeynirci said: "Refund for those who get divorced: Renault has launched a truly interesting campaign in the UK. They are so confident that the new electric Scenic, which was chosen as the European Car of the Year, is a great family car that they are offering a money-back guarantee to anyone who buys one and subsequently gets divorced from their spouse."
According to this insurance or refund guarantee called 'relationship breakdown coverage,' those who purchase a vehicle in cash will have their money refunded immediately if they can prove they divorced within that same year.
The campaign is reportedly valid until the end of 2024. The reason Renault launched such a campaign is that a significant number of divorces in the UK are reportedly caused by arguments inside vehicles.
Frankly, they have aimed to position the Scenic as the best family vehicle by taking advantage of this opportunity. We could even call it a serious PR campaign. When the Scenic arrives in Turkey, which will likely be at the end of the year, let's see if a similar campaign will be carried out here as well."
