In 2025, an increase was made in holiday bonus payments for retirees. The bonus, which was previously given twice a year at 3 thousand liras, has been increased to 4 thousand liras this year with a 33.33 percent raise. Thus, retirees will receive a total of 8 thousand liras in bonuses throughout the year.

Eid al-Adha will begin on June 6 this year. The holiday bonuses are expected to be deposited into retirees' accounts between June 2 and June 5. As in previous years, payments will be made according to the order determined by the allocation number. The detailed payment schedule will be announced by the Social Security Institution (SGK) and the Ministry of Labor and Social Security in the coming days.

Individuals who submitted their retirement applications between March 1 and May 31, 2025, and whose pension processing has been completed will also be eligible to receive the Eid al-Adha bonus. For those who applied in May but whose pension has not yet been processed, the bonus payment will be made along with their first pension payment.

PROPORTIONAL BONUSES FOR WIDOWS AND ORPHANS

For individuals receiving a widow's or orphan's pension due to deceased insured persons, bonus payments will be made in proportion to their shares. Example calculations are as follows:

2,000 TL for a surviving spouse who has both their own pension and an orphan's pension for their children, with a 50 percent share,

3,000 TL for a spouse who only receives a widow's pension and has no other income, with a 75 percent share,

2,000 TL for a daughter receiving an orphan's pension alone, with a 50 percent share,

1,000 TL for children receiving an orphan's pension together with their siblings, with a 25 percent share.

GRADUATED PAYMENTS FOR THOSE WITH PERMANENT INCAPACITY INCOME

Bonus amounts will also be calculated on a graduated basis according to the permanent incapacity income granted to those with at least a 10 percent loss of labor force due to a work accident or occupational disease. Example payments will be as follows:

For those with a 40 percent loss: 1,600 TL

For individuals receiving more than one income or pension from the SGK, the bonus payment will be made only on the highest amount. Examples are as follows:

Someone receiving both a retirement pension and a widow's pension will receive 4 thousand liras only based on the retirement pension.

Those receiving both a widow's and an orphan's pension will only be able to receive payment from the file belonging to the widow's pension.

Those receiving both permanent incapacity income and a retirement pension will also be paid only based on the retirement pension.
