RTÜK rains down suspension penalties on popular TV series: When will Arka Sokaklar, Deha, and Sahipsizler not be aired?

RTÜK took action in recent months against broadcasters that act against national and moral values, normalize violence in society, and violate regulations, imposing penalties on 4 series.

In this context, suspension penalties and a 3 percent administrative fine were issued for the series Arka Sokaklar, Deha, Sahipsizler, and Yabani. The penalty for the series “Yabani” was the first to be notified to NOW TV.

PENALTY NOTIFIED

The penalty began to be implemented last week. During the Saturday broadcast slot, documentaries sent by RTÜK were aired. The penalty was notified to the other 3 channels this week.

THEY WILL NOT BE AIRED ON THESE DATES

According to the report by journalist Birsen Altuntaş, the penalty for Star TV's series Sahipsizler will be implemented on January 1 and January 8, the penalty for Kanal D's series Arka Sokaklar on December 27 and January 3, and the penalty for Show TV's series Deha on January 5 and January 12.

On these dates, new episodes of the series will not be aired, and the channels will broadcast the documentaries sent by RTÜK.

The channels will then enter the New Year advertising break.
