Salim Güran's son Devran Güran issued threats on social media! His post featuring bullets drew attention
As the interim ruling in the Narin Güran murder case in Diyarbakır was announced, social media posts by Devran Güran, the son of defendant Salim Güran, dropped like a bombshell. His threat-filled messages and the phrase 'bullets for those who want them, love for those who want it' sparked backlash. Devran Güran's social media account has been closed.
In the trial where four detained defendants are being tried with a request for aggravated life imprisonment for the murder of 8-year-old Narin Güran in the Tavşantepe neighborhood of Bağlar, Diyarbakır, the court decided in its interim ruling to adjourn the case to Thursday, December 26, at 09:00 and to continue the detention of the suspects.
On the third day of the hearing, new camera footage from Narin's village was presented to the court. The images belong to the security cameras of the Dara 2 Military Base Area, located across from the home of Narin's father, Arif Güran.
The family had long claimed that these images would change the course of the trial. The footage was reviewed, and no evidence was found.
Defense attorneys focused on refuting the base station records, which are the most important evidence in the indictment, showing that the defendants were together on the day of the murder.
OBJECTION TO DNA TRACES
On the third day of the hearing, defense attorneys objected to the use of base station records as evidence, while also challenging the hair and DNA traces found in the vehicle of detained defendant Salim Güran.
Detained defendant and confessor Nevzat Bahtiyar reiterated his claim that Narin was killed by her uncle and that he himself hid the body by the stream.
THREATENING POST FROM SALIM GÜRAN'S SON
Finally, a threatening social media message from Devran Güran, the son of defendant Salim Güran, has emerged.
It was observed that Devran Güran had written in the biography section of his Instagram account: "As much love as one wants for those who want it, as many bullets as one doesn't want for those who want them. No one can rest where I am not at ease."
On the other hand, Devran Güran also threatened Nevzat Bahtiyar in one of his posts.
Following the public outcry over these statements, Devran Güran's account is currently inaccessible. It is alleged that Güran deactivated his account.
"IF ANYONE ELSE WROTE THIS, THEY WOULD BE DETAINED"
Journalist Ferit Demir, who shared Devran Güran's social media account on X and tagged the Police, the Gendarmerie, and the Diyarbakır Governor's Office, added the following note to his post:
"This social media page belongs to Salim Güran's son...
If any ordinary citizen put this text in the biography section of their social media account, they would be detained immediately.
Do the Diyarbakır Police and Gendarmerie not see this page? 'As much love as one wants for those who want it, as many bullets as one doesn't want for those who want them. No one can rest where I am not at ease.' Who or whom is Devran Güran sending a message to with bullets so comfortably from his social media account?"
