Şenay Gürler: Ayşe Barım had also sent her actors to the Yenikapı Rally

The detention of talent manager Ayşe Barım 12 years later, on the grounds that she supported the Gezi Park events, has sparked debates in the industry.

Actress Şenay Gürler criticized this situation in a post on her social media account, reminding that Barım had also sent her actors to the rally in Yenikapı after July 15 in the past. 

Gürler drew attention to the fact that this situation is being ignored.

In her post, Gürler recalled journalist Şenay Aydemir's 2022 assessment that "The cultural sphere is now a political sphere for the government," and stated that it is once again clear how accurate this observation was. She emphasized that the messages sent through Ayşe Barım could have serious consequences for television and the cultural sector.

Barım's detention is being evaluated not only for her past actions but also as a message regarding the relationship between cultural and political spheres.
