SSI launches 'newborn gang' investigation in hospitals!
The Social Security Institution (SSI) has launched an investigation into hospitals mentioned in the 'newborn gang' probe. Upon the request of the Büyükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the SSI has initiated an audit process regarding contracted hospitals. Three chief inspectors and three inspectors have been assigned to conduct the examinations.
The Social Security Institution (SSI) announced that the investigation into hospitals mentioned in the "newborn gang" probe that have contracts with the SSI is being conducted by 3 chief inspectors and 3 inspectors.
In the statement made by the SSI, the following expressions were included:
"Upon the request of the Büyükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office dated November 24, 2023, an investigation was initiated by our Institution on November 29, 2023, regarding the issue that has come to the public agenda as the 'newborn gang'.
The necessary examinations regarding the hospitals that have an SSI contract among those being investigated by the prosecutor's office are being meticulously carried out by our 3 chief inspectors and 3 inspectors.
As the Social Security Institution, we only audit the hospitals we have agreements with in terms of billing and finance within the framework of our legislation."
