Statement from the mother of Cem Garipoğlu, whose grave was opened: 'Please have pity on Ms. Nagihan'
The grave of Cem Garipoğlu, the murderer of Münevver Karabulut, has been opened. Rezan Epözdemir, the lawyer for the Karabulut family, stated that it was determined that Cem Garipoğlu's DNA samples matched by 99.9 percent. Meanwhile, following the DNA results, a statement also came from Cem Garipoğlu's mother, Tülay Garipoğlu.
There were serious questions in the public eye regarding whether Cem Garipoğlu, who brutally murdered Münevver Karabulut and then disposed of her body in a trash bin, had actually died or had been killed.
DNA samples taken from the grave of Cem Garipoğlu, which was opened following a request by the Karabulut family, have matched with the Garipoğlu family. Rezan Epözdemir, the lawyer for the Karabulut family, announced that the family will appeal the report.
STATEMENT FROM GARİPOĞLU'S MOTHER
A new development has occurred regarding the exhumation of the grave of Cem Garipoğlu, the murderer of Münevver Karabulut.
The Silivri Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has announced that the DNA extracted from the bones in the grave is directly compatible with that of Cem Garipoğlu's mother and father. Following the DNA results from the Council of Forensic Medicine, Cem Garipoğlu's mother, Tülay Garipoğlu, spoke to Ekol TV.
"IF NOT FOR ME, HAVE PITY ON NAGİHAN HANIM"
In her statement, Tülay Garipoğlu said, "I think there is nothing left to talk about. With your permission, let us now live through our grief.
"We have both been scorched by separate pains. Please, if not for me, have pity on Ms. Nagihan (Münevver Karabulut's mother, Nagihan Karabulut)," she stated.
