Teams determined from security camera footage that Şirin had entered the cemetery with a paper collector named Mustafa Örün.
CHILLING TESTIMONY
It was learned that Örün, who was taken into custody, said in his statement, "She came up to me. She asked for money. I told her I wouldn't give her any. She wouldn't leave me alone. She kept asking for money. She annoyed me. I got angry, and I strangled her to death near the cemetery. Then I tried to hide the body by covering it with bushes."
