Super Blue Moon views from Turkey
The Super Blue Moon was captured from many points across Turkey in the evening hours. The frames taken in Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir, and Lake Van created magnificent views.
The natural phenomenon described as the "Super Blue Moon" was captured in many parts of Turkey.
In Ankara, Anıtkabir and the Kocatepe Mosque, along with the Galata Tower and Çamlıca Mosque in Istanbul, created a visual feast.
WHAT IS A SUPER BLUE MOON?
A super blue moon is not actually blue, but it is bright. A Super Blue Moon is 16% brighter and 14% larger than a normal full moon.
According to NASA, Blue Moons occur every two to three years. Since there are roughly 29.5 days between full moons, a monthly Blue Moon will never occur in February, as it has only 28 days in a common year and 29 days in a leap year.
