Support for Turkey from around the world: Terror attack condemned

Five people were martyred and 22 were injured in the terrorist attack carried out against the facilities of Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) in the Kahramankazan district of Ankara.

Following the attack, statements of reaction were issued by many countries and international organizations around the world. The attack was condemned, and messages of support were conveyed to Turkey, with an emphasis on a joint fight against terrorism.

NATO

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte condemned the terrorist attack on the Kahramankazan facilities.

Rutte stated in a post on his X account, "The reports of deaths and injuries from Ankara are deeply concerning. NATO stands with our ally Turkey. We strongly condemn terrorism in all its forms and are monitoring the situation closely."

Rutte noted that he had held a phone call with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and conveyed NATO's support to him.

UN: WE STAND IN SOLIDARITY WITH THE TURKISH PEOPLE AND GOVERNMENT

United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres issued a written statement regarding the terrorist attack.

Stating that he strongly condemned the terrorist attack on TUSAŞ, Guterres extended his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives.

Wishing a speedy recovery to the injured, Guterres stated, "The UN stands in solidarity with the Turkish people and government."

UN Deputy Spokesperson Farhan Haq also issued a written statement to an AA reporter regarding the attack.

Stating that "The Secretary-General condemns this attack on civilians," Haq conveyed that the Secretary-General extended his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives.

EUROPEAN UNION

European Union (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell stated in a post on X that the TUSAŞ headquarters in Ankara was attacked by terrorists and that there were deaths and injuries in the attack.

The EU High Representative said, "We strongly condemn terrorism in all its forms. The EU stands in solidarity with Turkey in this difficult time."

USA

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken made a statement on his X account regarding the terrorist attack.

Blinken stated, "The United States stands with our ally Turkey and strongly condemns today's terrorist attack. My thoughts are with the victims of the attack and their families."

White House National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby made a statement regarding the terrorist attack on TUSAŞ during the daily press briefing.

Kirby said, "Our hearts go out to the victims of the horrific terrorist attack in Ankara, Turkey. Turkish authorities have indicated they are investigating the incident as a possible terrorist attack; we do not yet know the motivation or exactly who is behind it, but we strongly condemn this act of violence."

The US advisor said that their thoughts are with the people affected by the attack, their families, and the Turkish people "during these difficult days."

US House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Republican Michael McCaul issued a condemnation statement regarding the terrorist attack on TUSAŞ from the Committee's X account.

The statement read, "I strongly condemn the terrorist attack in Ankara today. My thoughts are with the victims of the attack and their families."

CONDEMNATION FROM RUSSIAN PRESIDENT PUTIN

Russian President Putin condemned the terrorist attack on TUSAŞ during his meeting with President Erdoğan and conveyed his condolences.

EUROPEAN COUNTRIES CONDEMNED THE TERRORIST ATTACK

French President Emmanuel Macron made a statement in French and Turkish on his X account.

Stating that they condemn the terrorist attack in the strongest terms, Macron said, "We share the pain of the families of those who lost their lives in the attack and offer them our condolences. We stand in solidarity with Turkey and the Turkish people against terrorism."

A statement from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reported that the terrorist attack, which caused numerous injuries and deaths, was condemned.

The statement noted that France extended its condolences to the families of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

The statement expressed that France stands in solidarity with Turkey and supports its partners and Turkey in the fight against terrorism.

GERMANY

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz stated in a post on the social media platform X, "I am shocked by the news of deaths and injuries from Ankara. We condemn terrorism in all its forms in the strongest possible terms and stand by our partner Turkey."

A written statement from the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs also stated that the terrorist attack in Ankara caused deep shock, adding, "We condemn terrorism in all its forms in the strongest possible terms. Our solidarity is with Turkey, and our thoughts are with the families of those who lost their lives. We wish a speedy recovery to the injured."

The statement also noted that the German Embassy in Ankara and the Crisis Response Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Berlin are closely monitoring the developments.

UNITED KINGDOM

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated in a post on X that he was horrified by the terrorist attack in Ankara.

Prime Minister Starmer said, "We stand shoulder to shoulder with our NATO ally and close friend Turkey. Our thoughts are with the families of the victims and everyone affected by the attack."

Head of the British Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) Richard Moore stated in a post in Turkish on X, "I am horrified by the heinous terrorist attack on TUSAŞ today, which I condemn completely. I extend my condolences to the families of the martyrs and wish a speedy recovery to the injured."

Moore noted that he worked in close partnership with TUSAŞ during his time as the British Ambassador to Ankara.

The British Embassy in Ankara also stated in a post on X, "We are deeply saddened by the horrific terrorist attack on TUSAŞ in Kahramankazan. The United Kingdom stands in solidarity with its ally Turkey and condemns terrorism in all its forms."

The Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the attack on TUSAŞ in a statement on X.

NETHERLANDS

Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof stated on his social media account regarding the terrorist attack, "We share Turkey's grief. The Netherlands condemns terrorism in all its forms."

Schoof posted, "I have conveyed my condolences to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for all the loved ones of those who lost their lives in the horrific terrorist attack on a factory near Ankara."

Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer also condemned the terrorist attack on TUSAŞ on X.

ITALY

A written statement from the Italian Prime Minister's Office read, "Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, on her own behalf and that of her government, expresses her deep condolences and sincere closeness to the Turkish authorities regarding the cowardly attack on the TUSAŞ headquarters, which led to numerous deaths and injuries. The Prime Minister expresses her unequivocal condemnation of all forms of terrorism and conveys her deepest condolences and thoughts to the families of those who lost their lives."

Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani posted on his X account, "I am following the developments after the terrorist attack in Ankara in close contact with our embassy in Turkey. I express my solidarity for those who lost their lives in the incident."

Italian Minister of Defense Guido Crosetto, who went to Istanbul today to meet with his Turkish counterpart Yaşar Güler, also noted the following in a post on X:

"Upon my arrival in Turkey, I unfortunately learned the news of the terrorist attack that struck the main center of the aerospace sector in Ankara, causing the death of 4 people and injuring many, 3 of them seriously. I immediately expressed my closeness to Minister Güler and condemned the cowardly terrorist attack. The Italian Ambassador immediately informed me about the 8 Italian technicians who are on the field and in good condition."

Meanwhile, a written statement from the Ministry of Defense noted that Crosetto emphasized to Minister Güler that Turkey has a fundamental role in the region and conveyed the solidarity of the Italian government due to the attack in Ankara.

CZECH REPUBLIC

Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky stated in a post on his X account that he was deeply shaken by the terrorist attack on TUSAŞ, sharing the view, "I extend my deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the incident and to all of Turkey. The Czech Republic stands firmly against terrorism. We must fight (against terrorism) together."

KOSOVO

Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Becirovic condemned the terrorist attack in Ankara in a post on his official Facebook page.

Becirovic stated, "Dear President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, I learned of the attack in Ankara with great sadness. I extend my deepest condolences on behalf of the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina and myself."

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina also issued a statement condemning the terrorist attack in Ankara that resulted in deaths in the strongest terms, sharing the following message:

"Our thoughts are with the families of those who lost their lives and everyone affected by this horrific act. Bosnia and Herzegovina stands with Turkey in the fight against terrorism and in the promotion of peace and security."

Azerbaijani President İlham Aliyev condemned the attack and conveyed his condolences to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

According to the statement from the Azerbaijani Presidency, Aliyev sent a condolence message to President Erdoğan for those who lost their lives in the terrorist attack on TUSAŞ.

In his message, President Aliyev stated, "We were deeply shaken by the news that there were deaths and injuries in the terrorist act carried out against TUSAŞ. I strongly condemn this treacherous terrorist act and, on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I extend my deepest condolences to you, the families and relatives of those who lost their lives, and the brotherly Turkish people, and I wish a speedy recovery to the injured."

Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Ersin Tatar stated in a post on his X account that he learned with great sadness that there were martyrs and injured in the treacherous terrorist attack carried out in front of TUSAŞ in the Kahramankazan district of Ankara.

Tatar said, "I wish God's mercy upon our martyrs; I wish a speedy recovery to our injured and strongly condemn the attack."

Stating that he curses terrorism, Tatar extended his condolences to the grieving families and the Turkish people.

TRNC Prime Minister Ünal Üstel stated in a post on his X account, "I curse the treacherous terrorist attack carried out against Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. in Ankara. I wish God's mercy upon our martyrs who lost their lives in this treacherous attack and convey my get-well wishes to our injured brothers. May our nation's condolences be accepted."

TRNC Assembly Speaker Ziya Öztürkler also strongly condemned the terrorist attack.

PAKISTAN

Pakistani President Asıf Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the terrorist attack.

According to the Associated Press of Pakistan, Zardari said, "We extend our deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this cowardly attack and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured," and noted that they are in solidarity with Turkey.

Pakistani Prime Minister Sharif also included in his post on his X social media account, "We are saddened by the terrorist attack carried out in Ankara."

Stating, "I extend my deepest condolences to my dear brother President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the people of Turkey," Sharif emphasized that he strongly condemns the terrorist attack.

SERBIA

President of the Republika Srpska (RS), one of the two entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik, also assessed on his social media account, "I extend my condolences regarding the terrorist attack in Ankara where civilians lost their lives and many were injured. Terrorism is a danger for all countries, and we must show joint resistance against it. We stand with Turkey in these painful and difficult days."

KOSOVO

KRG President Barzani stated, "We are in full solidarity with the people and government of Turkey against terrorism."

Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Masrour Barzani stated in a post on his X social media account, “I condemn the terrorist attack in Ankara. I conveyed my condolences to Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. My thoughts are with the families of the victims, and I wish a speedy recovery to the injured.”

KRG Minister for Ethnic and Religious Components and Iraqi Turkmen Front Executive Board Member Aydın Maruf also stated in a statement on the X platform that they strongly condemn the terrorist attack.

KAZAKHSTAN

Kazakhstani President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev reported that they strongly condemn the terrorist attack on the TUSAŞ Kahramankazan campus.

According to the statement from the Kazakhstani Presidency, Tokayev sent a condolence message to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for those who lost their lives in the terrorist attack on TUSAŞ.

In his message, Tokayev stated that he learned the news of the disaster regarding the terrorist attack with deep sadness, saying, "Kazakhstan strongly condemns this inhumane act against civilians. In these difficult times, I share the pain of the irreparable losses with the families of the victims and extend my deepest condolences to you and all the Turkish people. ARMENIA

A post from the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs' X account read, "As the attack in Ankara today shows, there is no justification for terrorism and harming the innocent. Armenia, as it has stated countless times, is against all forms of terrorism or such acts of violence."

IRAN

Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Esmail Baghaei reported in a written statement that they strongly condemn the terrorist attack on TUSAŞ.

Extending his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the attack, as well as to the Turkish people and government, Baghaei wished a speedy recovery to the injured.

The Iranian Spokesperson stated that they are against all forms of terrorism and expressed that all countries, especially neighboring countries, should act together against terrorism.

IRAQ

A written statement from the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs read, "We strongly condemn the armed attack on the Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. in Ankara, the capital of Turkey. While stating that we are in full solidarity with the government and people of the Republic of Turkey, we extend our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to the injured."

JORDAN

A written statement from the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the terrorist attack targeting TUSAŞ was strongly condemned.

AFRICAN COUNTRIES

Malian President Assimi Goita stated in a post on the social media platform X that they strongly condemn the terrorist attack, saying, "We are in full solidarity with Turkey in the face of this cowardly attack targeting one of Mali's strategic defense partners. Our prayers are with the families of the victims."

A statement from the Somali Ministry of Foreign Affairs also strongly condemned the attack while stating that they are in solidarity with the Turkish people and government.

The statement assessed, "This cowardly act is not just an attack on Turkey, but a threat to global peace and security."

Calling on the international community to strengthen cooperation against terrorism, the statement included, "Somalia is determined to stand with Turkey and the international community in the fight against terrorism, based on common values and mutual trust."

SENEGAL

Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye posted on his X account, "On behalf of the people of Senegal, we are in solidarity with President (Recep Tayyip) Erdoğan, the families of the victims, and the friendly Turkish people. Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of Sudan Abdel Fattah al-Burhan also sent a condolence letter to President Erdoğan for those who lost their lives in the terrorist attack in Ankara.

A statement from the Council noted that Burhan's letter included, "On behalf of the people and government of Sudan, I extend my condolences for those who lost their lives and my wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured."
