As Chelsea, one of the teams with the largest squads in Europe, tries to trim its roster, an alternative for Ferdi Kadıoğlu has been found.
27-year-old left-back Ben Chilwell, who plays for Chelsea, is not included in the squad planning.
Chilwell, who has made 21 appearances for the England national team, is considered a potential alternative to Ferdi Kadıoğlu.
Chilwell, who transferred from Leicester to Chelsea in the summer of 2020 for a fee of 50.2 million euros, is under contract until 2027.
Chilwell, who earns a weekly salary of 200 thousand pounds at Chelsea (11.4 million euros annually), is currently the third-choice left-back behind Cucurella and Renato Veiga.
It is believed that Fenerbahçe could add Chilwell to their squad through a salary-sharing arrangement.
