"Attempting to overthrow the Government of the Republic of Turkey or to prevent it from performing its duties" is the charge for which Ayşe Barım, who manages several artists and actors, was taken into custody and subsequently referred to the courthouse.
After undergoing a medical examination, Ayşe Barım was brought to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan.
The processing of Barım at the Istanbul Organized Crime Investigation Bureau has been completed; she had been in custody as part of an investigation launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into allegations appearing in print and visual media regarding her participation in the Gezi Park-focused events in Taksim.
