Testimony of İzzet Yıldızhan, arrested in the Kundakçı murder case, revealed
The testimony of folk singer İzzet Yıldızhan, who was arrested in the investigation into the armed attack in Ümraniye, Istanbul, that resulted in the death of footballer Kubilay Kaan Kundakçı, has been revealed. Yıldızhan stated that he only received information about a fight before the incident and learned about the murder later.
In an incident that took place on the night of March 19 in the Ümraniye district of Istanbul, 21-year-old footballer Kubilay Kaan Kundakçı lost his life as a result of an armed attack.
Within the scope of the investigation, 7 people were arrested, including murder suspect Alaattin Kadayıfçıoğlu, Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu, who is alleged to have incited the attack, and İzzet Yıldızhan, who is accused of helping the suspect hide.
According to allegations regarding the incident, the rapper known as "Canbay," Vahap Canbay, wanted to reconcile with Aleyna Kalaycıoğlu, from whom he had separated about 20 days earlier.
It was alleged that he asked for help from his friend Kubilay Kaan Kundakçı during this process. According to the allegations, luxury vehicles with flashing lights arrived in front of the workplace where they were located.
It was stated that the attacker who got out of the vehicle opened fire on the rapper and those with him, and that Kundakçı, who was seriously injured in the attack, lost his life at the hospital where he was taken.
“I HEARD THERE WAS A FIGHT”
The testimony of İzzet Yıldızhan, who was arrested on charges of “aiding and abetting” as part of the murder investigation, has been revealed.
In his testimony, Yıldızhan said, “At night, Metin Kadayıfçıoğlu called me. He said that Alaattin was involved in a fight. I said, ‘I hope it is nothing serious.’”
EXPLAINED THE PHONE CALLS
Yıldızhan stated that he called Bilal Kadayıfçıoğlu after the phone call but could not reach him.
He later said that he sent a message to Metin Kadayıfçıoğlu to ask for information about Alaattin Kadayıfçıoğlu, but that he did not remember whether he received a response to his message.
“I LEARNED ABOUT THE INCIDENT FROM SOCIAL MEDIA”
According to his testimony, Yıldızhan stated that he spoke with Bilal Kadayıfçıoğlu on the phone the next day, and conveyed that Kadayıfçıoğlu said he had heard something but did not know the details, and that he would come to Turkey on the first flight.
Yıldızhan said, “I set out in the evening and came from Ankara to Istanbul. Afterwards, I heard about such an incident on social media.”
In his testimony, İzzet Yıldızhan also said that they spoke on the phone and met after Bilal Kadayıfçıoğlu arrived in Turkey.
