The enthusiasm of May 19th meets art lovers at AKM!
The Istanbul Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM) is preparing to offer art lovers an unforgettable holiday with events organized as part of the May 19th Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day.
As one of Turkey's most comprehensive culture and arts centers, AKM will host a series of special concerts and performances on the May 19th Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day.
SPECIAL MAY 19TH CONCERT BY YOUNG SOLOISTS
The Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra will take the stage with a special concert for May 19th as part of the DenizBank Concerts. The concert, which will be held at the Türk Telekom Opera Hall on Thursday, May 16th at 20:00, will be conducted by orchestra conductor Murat Cem Orhan.
The evening will feature performances by young soloists Ayben Sever and Aygül Yeniev (flute), Efe Şen (piano), Nil İpek Şabi and Yağmur Tuna (violin), and Selin Akin (bassoon).
The concert repertoire will include works by important composers of the classical music world such as Mercadante, Rossini, Saint-Saëns, Chopin, and Demersseman.
"ALL MY HOPE IS IN THE YOUTH" AT THE AKM THEATER
The "Talent is Everywhere" project, launched by the General Directorate of State Opera and Ballet to support young artists, continues with a meaningful event on May 19th.
Young talents discovered within the scope of the project, which was launched in Şırnak in 2024 and is being carried out across the country, will take the stage as part of the 16th International İstanbul Opera and Ballet Festival.
The performance titled "All My Hope Is In The Youth" will meet the audience at the AKM Theater Hall on Sunday, May 19th at 20:00.
SPECIAL MUSIC AND FOLK DANCES FOR YOUTH DAY
Artists from the General Directorate of Fine Arts and the State Folk Dance Ensemble will take the stage in a special concert prepared for the May 19th Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day.
Renowned artists such as Seher Çelik, Murat Irkılata, Umut Akyürek, Bekir Ünlüataer, Yudum Koral, and Elif Buse Doğan will meet music lovers at the Türk Telekom Opera Hall.
The concert, which will be conducted by Uğur Kaya, will also feature a folk dance performance supported by rich choreography. The event will begin on Sunday, May 19th at 20:00.
