Here is that photo of the moment Judge Ramazan Dündar listened to an elderly woman in her home...
During the first hearing of the Narin Güran trial, which lasted for days, presiding judge Ramazan Dündar drew attention with his courtroom remark, “Whoever I point to, you will drag them out,” which created a stir.
A 2018 photograph of Dündar taking the testimony of an ill victim at their bedside has also resurfaced.
The first hearing of the trial regarding the murder of 8-year-old Narin Güran in Diyarbakır, in which 4 detained defendants are being tried with a request for aggravated life imprisonment, has concluded.
During the three-day first hearing, while the defendants, witnesses, and lawyers were the focal points, presiding judge Ramazan Dündar also became one of the key figures of the trial.
Hürriyet columnist Musa Kesler stated that Dündar 'stood out with his attitude outside of conventional patterns' and highlighted the following points during the trial process:
"In general, he was flexible and tolerant. In some moments when tension rose, he tried to soften the atmosphere with interventions. Again, in some moments when the environment became tense and the defendants' relatives were agitated, he stepped down from the bench to intervene personally and restored calm. However, he did not compromise on matters regarding the order and discipline of the hearing. In a warning to the lawyers, he said, 'The authority here is mine; if my warnings are not heeded, I am giving instructions to the police and gendarmerie now: whoever I point to, you will drag them out.' In fact, he also showed that he was an iron fist in a velvet glove."
