The penalty for entering his garden was severe: He crushed a 6-year-old child with a trailer!
A 70-year-old man, identified as a farmer, crushed and injured a 6-year-old child who had entered his garden.
A shocking incident has occurred in South Africa.
The incident took place on Friday afternoon. As a woman named Magdalene Jantijies and her 6-year-old child, Khwezi Jantijies, were walking along the road, a 70-year-old farmer named Christoffel Johannes Stoman ran over the child's feet with a trailer, alleging that the child had stolen oranges.
In her statement, Anne Magdelene said that the farmer had cornered them and threatened to kill them. Following the horrific incident, both of the child's legs were broken.
Stoman was tried in the Vredendal Magistrate's Court on charges of attempted murder.
The mother, who stated that her young child will undergo surgery, recounted the day of the incident.
She said that while they were heading to the city with her son to buy groceries, they passed by the farmer's farm, and the young child stopped to pick up an orange lying on the ground, then reached over the fence to try to pick up another orange lying on the ground.
Stating that she shouted for help, the woman noted that the man said, "I will run you over with my car and kill you."
"I AM NOT REGRETFUL"
While the elderly farmer stated in his testimony that he was not regretful, the grieving mother said she was determined in the attempted murder case she had filed and would pursue it to the end.
