The 8th Ordinary Grand Congress of the AKP has concluded. In the backstage information leaked to the media before the congress, it was claimed that pop singer Sinan Akçıl, who frequently states that he is an AKP supporter, would be included in the MKYK list.
A statement came from Akçıl, who did not take part in the 75-person AKP MKYK. Making a statement on his social media account regarding the claims, Akçıl used the expressions, "For now, I am continuing to try to wave our flag in the field of art and music, and I love you all very much."
Akçıl wrote the following in his post:
"Since last night, I have seen an 'extraordinary' amount of interest in your messages, along with some news that I, too, 'read in the media just like you.' I must say this; I am always at the service of my 'beautiful' country, and my stance has been clear for more than 10-15 years; this has not changed and cannot change. I wish the new congress, under the leadership of our esteemed President, to be beneficial to our country. For 'now,' I am continuing to try to wave our flag in the field of art and music, and I love you all very much. May you be entrusted to Almighty God..."
