“This Festival Is Ours” kicks off with Marina Satti concert

This Festival Is Ours, organized for the third time this year by Kreşendo, kicked off with the first concert in Turkey by Marina Satti, who represented Greece in the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest.

Following performances by Selût and Nova Norda at the festival's opening, Marina Satti took the stage and provided the audience with a musical feast.

The second day of the festival continued with workshops and talks held at Hope Alkazar. In the session titled “Musicians' (Mental) Health: Can We Paint a Picture of Happiness in the Music Industry?”, moderated by Deniz Koloğlu and featuring İdil Meşe and Özge Ç. Denizci, a deep conversation was held on the mental health of artists in the music industry. While participants felt the rhythm of music with Leyan Senay's Rhythm Workshop, the power of solidarity was discussed in the panel “Sharing Happiness: Good Together, Strong Together,” held under the guidance of Bihter Ayyıldız with the participation of Kaya Demiral, Yağmur Çoban, and Emre Güzel.

At the end of the day, the Marina Satti talk, moderated by İlker Hepkaner, offered participants the opportunity to get to know the artist's musical journey up close.

The third day of the festival will continue on November 3 at Salon İKSV. Participants will spend an hour full of dance at the Red Bull Dance Your Style Workshop, which will start at 17:00, where they will come together with Turkish champions Aydan Uysal and Volkan Arıcı.

Afterward, notable names of alternative music, Dilay Dal, Sera Savaş, Maya Perest, Melisa Karakurt, and KARDELEN, will meet their listeners.

The festival will continue on November 5 at Hope Alkazar with vocal, songwriting, and dance workshops. The Vocal Workshop with Çağıl Kaya will begin at 18:00.

At 19:15, the “Courage to Create and Songwriting” workshop will take place accompanied by Simge Pınar.

The final event of the night will be “Dance and Movement: Boybye Class” with Şükrü Kibar at 20:00.

The festival, which will conclude on November 8 at Postane, will feature the “Memory Tour in Beyoğlu” and the event titled “Talking About Hope and Happiness in Dark Times,” organized with Asena Günal and Asena Hayal, followed by a closing ceremony with the participation of Selin Baycan.

This Festival Is Ours will continue to offer a rich program to music and culture lovers until November 8 with the contributions of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and IBB Culture.
