CHP Chairman Özgür Özel has published a message of condolence for screenwriter and director Tomris Giritlioğlu, who passed away at the hospital where she was receiving treatment in Istanbul.

In his message on his social media account, Özel stated, "I wish God's mercy upon director, screenwriter, and producer Tomris Giritlioğlu, who contributed to invaluable works such as Güz Sancısı, Çemberimde Gül Oya, and Hatırla Sevgili, and whose passing I learned of with great sadness. I extend my condolences to her family, her loved ones, and our art community."
