Was there someone behind the murders committed by the Sur killer Semih Çelik? Here is the missing phone detail

In Istanbul's Fatih district, the two murders committed by 19-year-old Semih Çelik have caused public outrage.

Semih Çelik first killed Ayşenur Halil by slitting her throat at his home in Eyüp, and then, after meeting İkbal Uzuner at the Edirnekapı walls, he decapitated her and threw her head from the walls. 

Following the murders, Semih Çelik committed suicide by jumping from the city walls.

THE LAST SIGNAL CAME FROM SUR

New details have emerged in the investigation conducted regarding the incident. 

It has been revealed that Semih Çelik's mobile phone was missing after the murder.

Security forces have determined that the phone last emitted a signal from the city walls and are continuing their detailed search in the area.

IS THERE SOMEONE INCITING THE MURDER?

According to a report in Sabah, the discovery of Semih Çelik's mobile phone is expected to mark the beginning of a new phase in the investigation.

Security forces are examining Çelik's recent communications to investigate whether there was anyone who incited him to commit the murder.

It was assessed that if such a connection is identified, the investigation could shift in a different direction and its scope could be expanded.

Should such a situation arise, the possibility that the murder was committed in an organized manner will also be examined.
